Christmas treats part 2; Candied Almonds

This is one of my absolute favorites, not only because it’s so tasty but because it’s so easy and quick to make.

What you need:

  • 200g Almonds
  • 1,5 dl sugar
  • 0,5 water

 

 

How to:

  • Start by roasting the almonds bit in a dry frying pan.
  • Put the sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Then add the almonds and let it boil until they start snapping and candy themselves. Stir at all times so it doesn’t burn.
  • So when they start looking like in the picture and you notice that it gets hard to stir because it thickens and there’s no water left, that’s when you take it of the heat.
  • Pour the almonds on baking paper and carefully separate them and let them cool off before tasting.
